Borsch Soup

Borsch soup is the most popular and the most famous Russian soup. There is a strong belief that a woman is a good wife only if she can cook borsch. Of course it is said humorously but there’s a true point to it because everybody loves borsch! It is made on a meat or chicken bouillon of beetroots, carrots, potatoes, cabbage and other vegetables. Borsch can be hot or cold. The taste of borsch is different with every cook, because there is space for imagination when you are making it! If you are interested to try and cook borsch at home, you are welcome to first try it at Abracadabra Russian restaurant and ask for the recipe from the chef so that you are able to make for your friends relatives or for yourself!

Eurovision Song Contest 2011 at Abracadabra

Abracadabra Restaurant and HEYJOCLUB have teamed up to offer the ultimate Eurovision Party. The show will be shown in the club and restaurant live from Düsseldorf, the host city for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.

We know it will be an exciting night of music and dance in the unique style only Eurovision can provide.

We want you and your friends this Saturday, join us for the fun!

Food, cocktails and dancing are on the menu. Imagine a party style atmosphere, enjoying dinner in the magical restaurant you have to see to believe. You stay in the restaurant until half past midnight drinking and chatting or go down to the nightclub – one of the best clubs in London – from 10pm to dance the night away.

Forbidden London in association with acclaimed artist Sanja Sakic, present the first in a series of nude sketching and drawing classes.

With both male and female models to be your muses you will love the opportunity to develop your sketching and drawing skills in a relaxed and friendly environment alongside fellow art enthusiasts.

The class is very informal with minimal direction allowing you to enjoy practicing and honing your skills whether you are an experienced artist or you just want to give things a go for the first time.

All drawing materials are provided – pencils, rubbers, paper, drawing boards etc.

The price of participation is £10 which goes towards the costs involved with running the class.

Each week, providing there are sufficient attendees, an expert speaker will present a 15 minute talk giving advice and insider information although there will always be opportunies to speak to share knowledge and experiences.
